Seizure Education List

Absence Seizure
Staring blankly, subtle body movements like eye blinking or lip smacking, unresponsiveness lasting minutes to a few seconds.

Atonic Seizure
Sudden floppy head or drooping limbs, collapse or falling, brief loss of muscle control.

Focal Aware Seizure
Localized twitching, unusual sensations like tingling, déjà vu, or strange smells, preserved awareness.

Myoclonic Seizure
Sudden jerking movements usually in arms or legs, no loss of consciousness.

Tonic-Clonic Seizure
Loss of consciousness, body stiffening, jerking movements, possible loss of bladder control, confusion after seizure.
